Employee spotlight: Korinne Nelson
Today we'd like to spotlight a stellar employee at Flat Creek Inn, Korinne Nelson. Korinne does a lot of the behind the scenes legwork for Flat Creek Inn, and she is indespensable to the success of this business. Tell us a little about yourself: I was raised in Jackson Hole in a log home that my dad built, located behind what is now Flat Creek Inn. I left home to go to college and graduated from BYU in Travel and Tourism when I was 21. I got married 4 days after that and we've lived in many places across the country where my husband has helped build commercial buildings.
What do you do for Flat Creek? I work as the marketing director and bookkeeper. (Editor's note: And she does lots and lots of behind the scenes stuff)
If you had to eat the same thing every day for the reset of your life, what would you eat? Pralines and cream ice-cream with lots of caramel drizzled all over. Tell us about your family. I have a great family. I am the oldest of 7. We grew up in Jackson and I had the ideal childhood.
We still work together as adults.
I am now the mother of 5 and grandmother of 3
What do you do in your free time? In my free-time, I work at Flat Creek. It really is one of the most fun things that I do and I love it. Other than that, I like to go on trips with my family.
What is on your bucket list? On my bucket list? I've always wanted to learn Spanish. I've been working on it for 40 years and still can barely say Gracias. I guess I will never die.
What is the first thing you would do if you won the lottery? I would not be interested in winning the lottery. It's too fun earning money the old-fashioned way of working for it.
What would be a perfect day for you? A perfect day would be spent in Jackson, in the Spring time riding a bike past the Tetons with my family.
You are happiest when: I am pretty happy most every day. I like regular days best; like plain ol Tuesdays.
Thank you so much for all of your work for Flat Creek, Korinne!!
